Scientific fact: your heart runs on electricity. Seven days a week, sixty seconds per minute, decades upon decades — your heart’s electric.
This is not some groovy new-age metaphor; a fact’s a fact. (look up “bundle of HIS” (pronounced “hiss”) and you’ll see I mean what I say).
And so — the question worth asking is: WHAT’s providing all the juice?
Your heart runs on electricity. But what is it plugged into?
Whatever your mind is tuned to, that’s your power source.
Plug in to stories of how hard life is: that becomes the current funding your pulse. Plug in to stories of resilience and openness: that is the voltage moving you forward.
Take me literally once again — because science has proven that electrical signals from the heart technically shape and/ or warp the emotional centers in the brain. When life sucks, choose the way you tell your story carefully — try boosting yourself up, letting go of awkward confusions or too-hard conclusions, and start declaring to the very air that drives your inner sails: I choose to like being Me, no matter what circumstances surround my heart. I OWN this pulse and the next one, too.
I prefer to exist on sparks of brilliance too luminous to suffer faulty wiring or victimized mechanics. The heart is the first full organ that forms your whole body in the womb. It starts untinged and beats accordingly, one spark of innocent power after another, while you catch up to the truth of your existence.
Life is luxury.
